TSR Med Students' Society Part IV
The place for medical students to discuss all things about the course from work load to applying for jobs and everything else. Not the place for applicants to ask current medical students questions!

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVJust heard that bit on radio 1 'innuendo bingo' podcast.(Original post by ThisLittlePiggy)
It isn't a paper unfortunately. First time I've ever done something like this and if I could do it all again I'd change 100 things.
Bit of an eye opener, would recommend people to get one under their belt
Also, LAD+. Especially for that cheeky 'wrist action' comment!

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVTechnically, I'm a 3rd year

Surely you just have to quote Scambler? It gets worse, now we have to do reflections on how we do in x, y, z.(Original post by Beska)
I hate social science. I hate writing essays on social science. I hate having to find references to back up my opinions on social science. To clarify, I hate social science.
Also, why were you not at metroline?
That was the whole point(Original post by fairy spangles)
I didnt even know what you peoples look like!!
Hexham is lovely and sparkley! Half of it is a private hospital.
I know! And oodles of parking! But so desolate. I think we were half of the people eating at lunch. I was wondering why 3 wards are one side and the only other ward was on the other side of the place.

Hence the if i qualify and if i can get my MBBS!! It still stands now more than ever!
I am pretty screwed but at the same time i just want to leave i cant stand the place any longer.
The uni are making my life hell enough atm!

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVYeah, I've had one and the prep is horrible. Full day in house, very close to the loo. Make sure loads of loo roll and loads of water. Out cold for procedure and after is fine. No pain or anything. hth(Original post by Skwee)

On a fairly unrelated note, have any of you ever had a colonoscopy done? Oh gawd I feel like such a troll asking this but I'm dreading the prep...

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVBetter to look younger than you really are especially when you are an old fogie. Trust me, when your 40, you'll be glad!(Original post by a moist feeling)
When trying to buy Mass Effect 3 I was ID'd....this is rediculous seeing as it is a 15 and I am 20!!!!

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVYeh quoted it but it doesn't really talk about what I want to talk about, although I've still used it. I have to do reflections as well.(Original post by Lantana)

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVCheers. Good luck with your half marathon(Original post by rumandraisin)
Ah good luck! I have a half coming up soon (very)! Marathon eventually depending on how the half goes i guess haha
I somehow skipped doing a half and just ended entering a full one
In hindsight probably not the best of ideas
Only a few weeks to go though

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVI'll make sure to follow that advice! I've been booked in for a Monday so at least I don't have to miss a day for prep alone. Got my prep guidelines emailed to me today and I'm like "4 litres minimum starting at 5pm?! FML". At first I thought I'd be peeing all evening...then, it hit me. Hohoho.(Original post by sweetchilli)

Can you edit my one too? I'm in year 6 in Lisbon.

Re: TSR Med Students' Society Part IVOuch, what are the clinical examinations? Some kind of competencies? Good luck! It's quite a nasty time for 4th years too, but spread out slightly more. AMK tomorrow and then all the longitudinal SSUs and logbook due in next week.(Original post by carcinoma)
TSR got an upgrade and i just noticed.
Worst week of the year this week, other than OSCE week of course. 3 clinical examinations on tuesday, nice written medical knowledge test on wednesday, followed by 3 clinical examinations on thursday.
Yaay, all that while learning the 35million types of lymphoma.
