Hello
I have been given offers for Sociology at Manchester, Leeds, York, Goldsmiths and Essex having gone back to all of them I'm not too sure I have made the right decisions in applying there. It may just be nerves but I feel I should have applied to places like Durham, Ucl etc as I now have my results and they are better than i previously anticipated... But as there is nothing I can do i was wondering if anyone would be able to shed the light on the univerisites that have offered me places; just need to know info on student life, nights out, the city, the students, the course (offcourse ) and anything else that may help me make my decision!

Would really appreciate it as i am struggling to decide where to go! Having to live there for three years; (maybe even more if i want to do masters) and I just want to make sure I like it.

I'm at Essex and i love it here. I dont do sociology but i know the dept is very good here as my friends studies there and it is a very friendly UG team. If you want to know anything about the university in general happy to help ! x

What do you think of the overall student life; when you havent got lectures what do you get up? is there stuff to do? socities, gym, su, bars etc etc compared to others I have been to essex is quite small so was wondering whether there is a lot on offer?

Also; i live in essex but about an hour and a bit away from the campus do you think they would give me accomodation? worried that they wont
