I've had this happen to my laptop 3 times in the past 2/3 months. I'd like to know what this is also. I've not had any major problems with my laptop before.

A windows machine Blue Screens (commonly referred to as a Blue Screen Of Death - BSOD) basically means something happened that wasn't meant to happen.

There are various causes of a BSOD, common causes are often driver updates that have gone screwy, software error, or an error in windows (of which there are quite a few - none too serious tho).

Unless you get a BSOD regularly, the causes are rather harmless & they can just be ignored. If they are frequent however, they display a STOP code (normally in the form 0x0000000n with n being any number/letter combination). Write that down and google it, there are many sites out there which will identify the cause and supply possible fixes.
