Low: dairylea triangles (extra light variety), smoked salmon, brown bread. So good and surprisingly low in calories! If you haven't tried it I suggest you do!

High: Cheesy Nachos! Because you can't go wrong with tortillas smothered in cheese with salsa and guacamole and maybe some beef/chicken

LOW: Fresh Berries (Raspberries, Brambles and Blueberries are lowest, followed by grapes). Excellent wee grazers too!

HIGH: Any kind of fruit-based granola/muesli/trail mix. FAR higher in fat and calories than even a big wodge of fruit-filled chocolate or cake, a bag of nuts, fruit and ooey-gooey deceptively deadly bites seems like a virtuous option but will make you HELLA fat. See also: Gourmet cereal bars/ luxury mueslis.

HIGH: GU chocolate souffles, at like 300kcal for a small 65g pot. These are pretty high for a treat..but a rich hot pool of chocolate below a crusty chocolate top? ARE YOU SURPRISED. Plus, they taste more indulgent than they could ever possibly be. Really good quality tasting chocolate with GU products too.

LOW: Smarties cupcakes. Fewer than 100 kcals of cute chocolatey goodness. With a cute little smartie atop for good measure! And thick milk chocolate on top too, they beat baker brother cakes any day! Ok, so maybe these are made for kids.. but I love them anyway.

LOW: Mini Party Sausage Rolls. I'll only have about 5, that's enough to settle the desire, so it makes em fairly low
I'm not entirely sure here, but filo wrapped prawns? I love em and I don't THINK they have too higher calorie content?

HIGH: Puff pastry mince pies, or vegetable samosas. Pecan Plaits and Apple Danishes are also pretty high up there but SO good in the pastry department.
And Baklava. Don't forget that calorific heaven.

LOW: Frozen Moo yogurt. The strawberry one. My god, it's gorgeous! Feels like a proper pot of iced cream, but with tastier flavours and so few calories but still good protein.

HIGH: Fruit cake. Not crap, cheap ones..PROPER homemade fruit cake. My nan just made a loaf of one, topped with roasted almonds. It's the single-most juicy, delicious, fruity cake Ive ever seen. Not short on the old Kcals though.

Low: new potatoes, green beans, salad cream (and maybe some gammon or tuna mixed in) so good and not too high in calories

High: Cheesy Beans on a Jacket potato. Gotta love it but with the amount of cheese I like to put on it's not exactly a healthy meal!

    High and low of almonds?

P.s. Melissa that fruit cake sounds AMAZING.

LOW: Almonds. Yes, that's it. Almonds. Eating almonds as they are are clearly the lowest calorie form of Almonds. Shock, horror.

HIGH: Bakewell Choc-Fudge Tart. Taking the standard recipe of the Bakewell tart but exchanging the plain icing for some excessively decadent chocolate fudge, the cherry and almonds work surprisingly well with the heart-attack-inducing covering!!

HIGH AND LOW OF: BISCUITS FOR TEA?

LOW: Rich tea fingers. Rich tea goes well with tea. Shocking really, given the name? And these fingers allow you to have 3 or 4 which should last til your tea goes cold really, and you only rack up about 80kcals, which is about a digestive anyway?

HIGH: Dark chocolate Hobnobs. About 95 a biscuit? Can soon become quite a calorie-laden treat. But they're GOOD. I love perfecting the dunk time of the chocolate, so it's just slightly melted but not lost in the tea. You get the glory of the chocolate to yourself. The hobnob texture also holds up well to being dip, not a "one dip" as Peter Kay will tell you.

HIGH: Prawn Stir Fry with noodles. Especially if made by my dad who will serve up a mountain of thick noodles with it (kinda ruins it in my view!)

LOW: Cupasoup Chicken Noodle Soup. Not too filling but I'll have it as a snack sometimes. Also, Wagamamas Soups with noodles in.

HIGH AND LOW OF PISTACHIOS? (you are forbidden from saying just pistachios plain...)

It's hard with nuts, they're pretty high calorie.

LOW: I did once go to my Mum's friends house, she's kinda a hip "mum" and did a funky trendy buffet table, one of the dishes was a salad, basically a variety of fancy leaves with pomegrante seeds and pistachios as a crunchy topping. It was really surprising and nice.

HIGH: fruit and Pistachio pavlova, with tons of cream!

    high and low of..tomatoes

Low: tomato and basil bruschetta. With toasted Ciabatta or on toast. And little oil.

High: ketchup! Sugary goodness!! But actual tomato? tomato and anchovies with twisty pasta or salsa with nachos.

    High and low of marshmallows?
