Stuck about my final uni choice!
Okay, so i am stuck between Reading, Loughborough and Keele!
I am hoping to get BBB at th end of my a levels. (but ofc i may slip up and get less)
The requirements for each uni are as follows:
Reading - 300 points (BBB)
Loughborough - ABB
Keele - BBC
I was going to put down Reading and Keele, as i am not 100% if i will get an A, i am going too try the hardest i have ever tried to get As, but i can never be sure, i rarely score 80% plus in my exams, but yeah i really want to go to Loughborough... would putting Loughborough as my firm and Reading as my insurance too risky?
Or shall i stick to Reading and Keele? But i realllly do want Loughborough, i have no idea what to do!
Any advice would be useful!
Please help!
Ps: there is a loughborough open day tomorrow.. i don't know if there is any point going if i am not going to put it down -

Geography!
You may as well go to the open day and see what the campus is like. To be honest, putting Loughborough as your first choice and Reading as insurance would make more sense.
Don't go to Keele.... -
Re: Stuck about my final uni choice! No I haven't, and yes i could do.. but i normally have a hard core revision day tomorrow.(Original post by Student_in_need)

You think so? But then what about if i miss out on BBB for Reading and then i'll end up going into clearing! Because to be honest my english literature grade.. well i never know with english, sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn't and therefore if i had a C i would have Keele to go to.. and Oo why not Keele? I understand it isn't one of the best unis but i don't have much choice

Re: Stuck about my final uni choice!Well, Loughborough Open Day could motivate you to work harder/give a better insight.(Original post by diesha)

at least if you go tomorrow, you could put Loughborough at first choice definitely then worry about your insurance at a later point.
Work hard and you'll get the grades. But go tomorrow before making a decision. -
Re: Stuck about my final uni choice!Hm true, i was going to leave it so that it doesn't make me want to go there ha, really don't know if i should be taking the risk.(Original post by Student_in_need)

And hm, i defo want Reading as one of my choices, so f i were to put Reading and Loughborough as my choices.. it'd just be risky y'know.
and true, and hm might do then. -
Re: Stuck about my final uni choice!
If you really are set on Loughborough then go for it, just push yourself to get that A. The only real downside to going to your insurance Uni is the fact that the accommodation can be a pain in the ass to sort out if the Uni doesn't have any halls left over, which they inevitably won't, so you have to make this decision.

Re: Stuck about my final uni choice!
Aim as high as you can! Put Loughborough as your firm and study hard! You'll regret it if you don't at some point.
Get tutors or anything if needed!
EDIT: Go to the open day tomorrow, it'll give you a much better insight into your course and the University if anything. :PLast edited by Ocarinaoftime; 14-03-2012 at 19:58.
