Re: when you were a kid??Here's a nice thread about innocent, childhood antics and you go and rip into people's beliefs.(Original post by XxelliexX)
i used to believe there was some invisible guy who watched everything i was doing and lived in the sky and that when we die he would make us go to a really horrible place called hell to suffer and burn and cry for ever and ever if we were bad
crazy... I know...
There's a time and a place.

Re: when you were a kid??Me and my twin brother, used to act out PowerRanger scenes, makes us laugh whenever we think about it.!!(Original post by EffieFlowers)
Me and my twin sister used to play a 'mission impossible' sort of thing, where we, in our pyjamas would sneak down stairs as quitely and as slowly as possible, we'd whisper to each other in butch, soldier voices, sneak open the living room door as quietly as possible, and hide behind the sofas/ tables listening to our parents (and older sisters) conversations.
Only this year, did my mum tell me, when I proudly announced our amazing spying abilities, that she was aware of us all along and just ignored us.
....Wow, such good times when you're younger and everything is an opportunity for some fun! -

I used to think that eating apple seeds would make a apple tree grow inside you...unfortunately it never seemed to work.
Sliding down the stairs on my stomach thinking I was a fox
Also playing the 'avoiding the cracks on the pavement' game.Last edited by HumiT; 13-03-2012 at 23:02. -

Since age twelve, I've felt like I'm someone else, since I hung my original self from the top bunk with a belt.

Oh dear, the stuff I did to ants...
I should not know that ants bodies can still run around, independently, when their head is severed...

Re: when you were a kid??
I used to have an obsession with bins, just basically any aspect of them, from binmen and dust bin lorries, to actual bins in the street. I used to go around and point at bins and say 'binah!'. I liked drains as well. Oh that, and diggers. We went to monkey world when I was 3, and I was more interested in this scoop attatched to a digger, than the actual monkeys we had gone to see.
I was a pretty weird kid- and I still am today

Re: when you were a kid??
I used to think a monster called the glig-glig man would come out of the plug hole just as the last bit of water from a bath went down it, so I had to rush out the bathroom in my towel and freeze in my room until all the water had gone and there was definitely no glig-glig man

I didn't know women had a vagina until a month or two before my 11th birthday, so I thought they urinated and gave birth to babies via the arse.I laughed far too much at these two(Original post by HumiT)

Re: when you were a kid??I did both of these. Though I thought it was the boogie man rather than a skeleton/zombie.(Original post by llama-beans)
I use to take a running jump into bed because I was worried there was an evil skeleton/zombie thing under there that would grab me by the ankles and drag me down...
I also used to think that my pillows/teddies would get offended if I took them off my bed, so they used to take up over half of it!
I did all of these too. Though I took the last one a step further - there was a wood at the back of our back garden (we had a gate at the bottom of the garden which opened up to the wood). Literally just to the right of the gate, inside the wood, was an old oak tree. I was convinced that fairies lived there. So one day I wrote them a letter and put it at the foot of the oak tree, begging them to come and visit me in my bedroom that afternoon after lunch. I waited for hours and hours and hours. They didn't come. I was gutted.(Original post by *GoLdSeQuIn*)
Running up the stairs when the lights were off because I thought a ghost was coming up behind me...Although I still do that now
Oh and I used to stare at something for ages and ages hoping that I'd have magical powers that would make it move like Matilda...
Thinking me teddies/dolls were real and asking them to just tell me if they were real and I promise I'd never tell anyone!!
Oh and I was convinced that teddy bears came alive at night.
Also my greatest wish was that one day I would find a mermaid in a cave whilst on holiday. I wanted to persuade her to turn me into a mermaid as well. I wanted to be a mermaid so badly - so every time we went away on holiday I would scour the beach and go into every cave I could possibly find in the hope that I might find a mermaid one day. (I was 6 in 1989. No prizes for guessing which film was released in 1989 - and to be fair, it's not so odd for a six year old to love mermaids lol).
crazy... I know...
