    I've never seen that molecule before but I would cumene that too
    It is an organic compound. I dare you to ask your chemistry teacher about it.

    Mmm... this conversation has made me so turned on. Give me some time, I'm taking a short break. Got something to take care of.

    yeah i have, the one thats split up into 5 skills? Trust me - you'll be fine, pretty easy marks

    Done them all except Skill V (interpretation)

    What marks did you get in them? What kind of questions came up in your Skill V?

    Got 12/12 in one titration but got like 7/12 for the other one because my teacher messed up his result (or so we believe). Everyone in my class got consistent results but him. He says he is going to re-do it, sure he is. Don't care anyway, I can afford not to do well in F332 due to high UMS so far.

    I got 10/12 for the titration, 12/12 for the calculations, and 10/12 for the observation

    My teacher said Skill V is about Group 2 elements. If you guys got this skill, what kind of questions can come up?

    Beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, barium and radium, I am certain they will ask a question about an element or compound involving one of those.

    I take it you haven't done Skill V yet? My teacher dropped some hints about it and said the one we're doing is about Calcium. There are three papers to do so you may not get the same one as us.

    Haven't done it yet but gave us useful info on what areas to revise. I then devloped furthur on what was said and made myself some detailed natoes. Remember, there are 3 shots on each skill so Idk if you'll get this paper.

    You should revise the following (word equation, chemical formulae, state symbols):

    • Reaction with water
    - Calclum + water--->Calcium hydroxide + hydrogen
    - Calcium oxide + water --->Calcium hydroxide + hydrogen
    - Calcium hydroxide + Carbon dioxide ---> Calcium carbonate + water

    • Reaction with heating
    - Calcium + heat --- calcium oxide
    - Calcium carbonate + heat ---> calcium oxide + carbon dioxide

    - Calcium hydroxide is alkali (universal indicator shows blue)
    - Adding acid=Redish indicator

    • Oxides and hydroxide reactions with acids
    • Solubility, thermal stability, reactivity trends, etc

    Basically, read throughly through the Group II section in Chemical Ideas and you should get top marks.

    Just did interpretation (I think it was interpretation) today, teacher marked it by the time our second chemistry lesson finished and told me I got a 12.

    It was about oxidising and reducing. Fairly simple just memorise what colour water turns when iodine/chlorine/bromine solution is added in it same with cyclohexane and what layer should be what colour. Also there was a question at the end about writing an equation of when silver nitrate is added to sodium chloride ( I think) Mainly you just have to sample on about which one is the oxidising agent and which one is the reducing agent and then which is reduced and oxidised. Also why displacement happens- and the trend going to group 7.

    That's all I can remember (sorry if it's not the right skills)

    Ah, we've got a different one coming up. But this should help those who most of the bases covered.
