Did people put gas for bromine vapour? I remember in the F331 mark schemes that water vapour was given as a gas, not liquid. They'll probably accept both though.
the word vapour kinda gives it away.
    (gas)

Yeah, it's water vapour (water as a gas). That's why steam comes from kettles etc? :s

You could also put crude oil. would that be right?
Wasn't the question asking for an agricultural source?

    Couple of things:

For the reagents and conditions question it asks for the reagents and conditions when water is added. WATER. Not steam. So phosphoric catalyst pathway is wrong... concentrated sulfuric acid at room temp and pressure is right.

Compound D cant be used as a cleaning solvent because is can only form the weakest type of intermolecular bond (id-id) with the substance its trying to clean.

Oh and also, source of methane: farming rice paddy fields.
I thought phosphoric acid is still right.. it says that in the revision guide

I wish. But my answer did include the word "poo" three times. Do you lose marks for obscenities?

    Labelling the diagram?

C was slightly positive and the F and Cl atoms were slightly negative.

i just put delta+ on carbon a a delta minus on all other
the explaination i gave was :- the electronegativities of the atoms, c is more electronegative than c
