Mmm I don't know about Hamilton there though. The car seemed nervous to get onto the accelerator.

    Probably just me though .
he quite obviously had to ease off due to slow Rosberg in front

McLaren 1-2, although Vettel didn't really have a run so we don't know where RB stand.

Mercedes and McLaren definitely look good with regards to how well they were planted onto the track.

I'm referring to the final few corners (after Ham had already passed him).

IIRC FP2 should give a better idea of where the cars stand as the cars tend to do a race-pace sim and quali sim too. Mercedes look like they've improved significantly.

(the Sky coverage is pretty good. It'll take a bit of time getting used to the new presenters, but watching the actual session feels nostalgic so thats good. (besides the adverts.. ) )

Sorry I haven't contributed thus far. Raikkonen shows just how awesome he is by popping in a top 10 time with barely any running at the end of the session.

I think gentlemen, that Mclaren have the slight edge so far with Mercedes in second. Lets see how FP2 goes though. Ooooo I'm so glad this is back

Good to see Schumi at the top

And WHAT is wrong with HRT? They've had plenty of time to prepare.

I'm mildly surprised at the Marrusia times. Glock was 12th on FP2. We'll see what qualifying brings.

And yes, HRT were a shambles. Again. And they've had more time to prepare this year too.

Just watching the start of the FP1 programme (replay). Not hugely impressed with Simon, at least Jake was enthusiastic, Simon sounds bored. And I agree- the adverts are annoying me, and the whole 'F1 on Sky sponsored by'... crap. I have checked the times though and glad to see it looks like things are a bit closer, although only quali will tell the true picture

good thing there are no ads during quali and the race.

Tomorrows qualy is technically the start of the season as we see who has the pace.
