Why is it that practically no other colleges do edexcel psychology and mine seems to be the only one that does health and crime and not child?

    Anyways, good luck!

Exactly! Everywhere I looked online and in a few revision books, they always do Child and Crime, made understanding bits of Health difficult since our teacher didn't understand it when she taught us. Goodluck today! I'll be needing a lot of it.

Me too, I really despise health, it's too science based

I spent all night trying to learn the whole heroin and nicotine sections, criminal was easy to revise, but health is soooo tiring, I just hope the anti smoking campaign doesn't come up.

How did everyone find the paper? I didn't find the criminal side as difficult as the health side.

I evaluated the 12 marker in the criminal in the last 15 minutes and still had to say whether she should rely on EWT. I thought my health 12 marker was ok but I didn't say as much as I would have liked. I was complete stumped with the question about characteristics of a role model so I said, same age, gender, looks up to and charismatic and successful. lol

oh, I crammed those definitions, I said it was an act that wasn't necessarily against the law but affects people negatively. Such as a group of people loitering in a residential area and making noise.

I honestly thought that 12 marker could have been worse, I just described Yarmey and Loftus and Palmer, and she shouldn't rely on EWT after the evaluation.

criminal 12 marker was perfect... EWT is shoved down out throats so much throughout the entire course if i don't get 12/12 then... i'll give up xD

i did for reliability: yuille+cutshall, pickel + cognitive interview and evaluated each one.
against: loftus, loftus + palmer and bartlett re-constructive memories and evaluated
conclusion: she should rely on it if you follow the procedure of not letting eye witnesses communicate etcetc but it's impossible to empirically measure EWT due to ethical issues and BPS guidelines.

i liked the child 12 marker actually, the idea of tailoring it to help the parents understand the disorder. i used the sally-ann test to help them understand cognitive explanation + brain lateralisation to explain bio explanation.

hated the cross cultural questions i just winged it... self fulfilling prophecy wasn't too bad, i forgot the steps so i had to make some of them up but they were good enough to get some marks i hope.

hope everyone else did just as well :-)

I think they were nice letting us decide whether or not she should rely on it and choose our own studies to use, basically there's less chance of being wrong

    This paper was absolutely beautiful!
I learnt the 5 past paper mark schemes off by heart... other than the two 12 marker questions (which I found pretty nice) there were only about 9 marks worth of other questions which had not appeared on past papers in one way or another.

    - Did health and criminological
Crossing my fingers for the A in that one because I think the last unit 4 is going to be hellish!

When they said to compare the biological and learning explanation in at least one way I was like haha!, drew up and table and looked at it just before the exam.

Good exam but you think about it they tell you to revise so much bull and they sometimes ask questions that make you want to punch paper.
