Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIITrue but both Torres and Falcao have played at Athletico Madrid which means they have a natural bond, haha. But they are more similar compared to Drogba.(Original post by Hatchet)
Torres and Drogba also sounds immense, unfortunately things don't always work out as planned in football though. -
Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIWould really not mind Hulk at all. Would help solve right wing to an extent and upfront plus he's a beast with a killer left foot.(Original post by Hemzo)

Opinions? I doubt Roman's going to splash 80m on Hulk, prehaps more around the 30-40m mark?
Okay...I've just been on the wiki page for Hulk and it says....Clubs: 2012 - Chelsea FC....O_o -
Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIMaybe wiki knows something we don't(Original post by iRush)

I'd prefer him on the wing as opposed to Sturridge and the right wing is Hulk's ideal position. His left foot strikes are like bullets! He seems like he's physically built for the Premier League too and it does look like he can bully defences like Drogba did, but he's got some work to do if he wants to fill Drogba's boots! -
Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIYeah, he's as quick if not quicker than Sturridge and has better accuracy with the goals he's got from right wing! Come on Hulk!(Original post by Hemzo)
Maybe wiki knows something we don't

Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIAnd I was looking forward to a Crespo-Shevchenko partnership having grown up with Italian football. *sigh*(Original post by Hatchet)

Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread III
If we're willing to commit that much money why not get Neymar. That guy is guaranteed goals and flair.
I know Neymar is somewhat an unknown quantity, but then again I've seen Hulk play against us, United, City and Arsenal plenty of times and do little to suggest that he's worth more than 30m. Yes he played well in Europe last season, but the Europa league is a different story.
For someone they're claiming is on a par with Neymar, he's also got a surprisingly low amount of caps and goals (0) for Brazil.
But again, I'd prefer it if our new manager could make these decisions. -
Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIIts less of a risk bringing Hulk in I would say, simply because I think Neymar could have a far harder time adjusting to the Premier League.(Original post by Banishingboredom)

Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIIt would be wonderful to start banging in some goals so the fickle fans will stop calling us "boring"(Original post by DScofield)
If you guys can snap up Lucas Moura and or Hulk and get them playing in sync with Torres and Mata your attack is going to be killer on paper.

Hulk --- Mata --- Hazard
Torres
Would be a scary attacking 4.
Not sure whether Hazard would be bought if Hulk was though (and vice versa). Just one of them coming in makes your line up look a lot stronger though, and if Marin lives up to expectations then you have to some quality rotation going on as well. -
Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread III
I just found out that Lampard has not failed to score at least 13 goals in every season since from 2003-2004 onwards, with Drogba holding the same honour since 2004-2005. Moreover, Lampard is just 16 goals away from become our top scorer of all time. I'm rooting for him to do it next season. What a fairytale of an ending that could be as well.

Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIIt's not how many you score but how you score them for a lot of people. Even if we ever started to play attractive football once again, would we get the credit anyway? If not, why bother?(Original post by MattyJo)

16th goal at Wembley in the CL final to secure a 1-0 victory in the 90th minute.(Original post by Wawasan)

Not going to happen.

Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread IIIOk maybe not in that manner but in general, if he scores 16 this season, it would also be an ultimate winner.(Original post by NDGAARONDI)

Terry is also 1 away from 50, with Malouda 5 away from the same target. -

I think I'll be a scum of a football manager if I became one. I'd be hated by all the teams.
In fact scratch that, get a penalty early like the benfica game and shut up shop.Last edited by jam277; 26-05-2012 at 18:16. -
Re: The Chelsea F.C. Thread III
Taking back what I said earlier, Hulk's just scored his first goal for Brazil.
Probably just added 5 mil onto his price tag
-
