I'm starting to think we should start Meireles and Torres together, they seem to be destroying Leicesters defence...

Pretty sure he has just scored 2 against Leicester. Hardly the 50 mil price tag eh?

    Only two goals
2 more goals than he had a couple of hours earlier

Oh shut up, he scored two goals against a championship side.
He needs goals regardless, getting them will boost his confidence significantly and help him get back in form, and we all know how bloody good he is when that happens.

Two goals in 24 hours of football, both scores against Leicester isn't something you should be writing home about. Not to be gloom-monger, but doesn't this kind of indicate that he's playing at Championship level at the moment?

MOTM Torres, 2 goals 2 assists. Maybe could have gone for the last goal himself but it's good to see him put the team ahead of himself.

Just to dampen spirits, Andy Carroll and Downing were great....against Brighton.

Why does that matter? He scored none against Birmingham.

    Well hes just got another...

Hope he scores against Man City.
I meant lets see if it continues over the next few games, against a more testing opposition. It's still a huge confidence booster for him though.

i meant were rubbish, should've done better today, i know they won but some more goals would've been good? especially from torres
5 goals, 2 by Torres, Torres responsible for 2 others. Good enough for you?

Hopefully he takes a bit of confidence into the city game and plays well.

Chelsea fans singing he scores when he want to at him is hilarious though.

To be fair, he's really deserved it today. He's been playing really well, setting Kalou up for his goal, working his arse off when he's off the ball as well.
Yeah, Torres did really well, with the carroll argument against brighton, torres plays well the whole match and works hard but doesn't score, carroll however doesn't.

Given that, lately, he's been limited to pretty much cameo appearances from the bench he's gone out and made a point in the first start he's had in a good while. And besides the goals, he set up two others and worked his arse off the whole match - like he did against Napoli midweek.

I'm so so so pleased for him! He looked a different player out there! That shot he took without hesitation after the first goal was :coma:

Finally the return of Fernando Torres? Torres to score the winner against City
