It's not going amazing tbh. I'm just majorly stressing about this module. It's just that we've got sooo much more to cover in so less time. Plus, the fact that one of my teachers makes no effort to actually teach us doesn't help either.
My way of revising is making notes on each bullet point on the spec, so I know everything I need to. Only after I've learnt(/memorised in some cases) it all do I start past papers.
So far I've learnt electric fields, magnetic fields, capacitors and the x-rays section in medical physics (which I have lost :sadnod:) so I've got plenty more to do  How far have you got?
Poor you Last year, I has a teacher who was just terrible - it just made everyone feel more stressed :/
I've still got quite a bit to re-learn: Capacitors (which should be alright), a bit of Medical Physics and pretty much all of module 1. Not looking forward to it though...
I'm hoping this thread will help us all keep each other motivated
But I did spend a lot of time creating a super organised lesson plan; and found some great resources in the process - so I'll upload them in the original post later
Which topics are you most confident about?

wow  that's a lot of exams! I'd be having a break down if I had so many exams... Good luck! I'm also doing G484 - I got an A last time but need it to be higher if I want that A*... How are you feeling about G485? What's your predicted grade?

I'm actually liking G485 but lets see.. i've only done electric and magnetic field yet. Plus i've other 12 modules to teach my self (including maths). Should never get ill during exams!!.

    My prediction are A*AA*

I've added revision links for each module. Quote/PM me if you would like to add resources to the list.
    Good luck with the revision

i am seriously freaking out about this exam, and g484 i've had a terrible teacher(the school actually fired him!) i hate fields and capacitance, but love the rest! Anyone got any revision tips other than past papers! they just don't seem to work for me

Don't like the medical science stuff too much either, but personally I don't think it's like Biology
But my worst topics are on electric/ magnetic fields/ electromagnetic induction.

that's unlucky Revision-wise, I've found that there are some really good videos on youtube. This one is a great introduction on Capacitors: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYH9dGl4gUE. Also, have you tried revision cards? They're good because they force you to look at all of the content and reduce the info to manageable bits. Plus because they're so small, you can take them with you anywhere

scary, isn't it? haha, i'm guessing you take biology...
I definitely think that out of all the modules, module 1 is the hardest. Those are the questions I struggle with the most on past papers. I'm hoping I'll get the hang of it soon...
    How's the revision going?

Not bad Mainly focussing on other subjects for now as this one isn't so "important" in terms of university. Just going through the content over and over again now.

I talked my teacher into giving me the Jan 2012 G485 paper, though he refused to give me the mark scheme. I anyone has it, please upload!

Yep, I take Biology (also doing Biochemistry in Uni next year)!
I need to do lots of revision now, I've been slacking off this easter

this is great! i love the Robbie Peck notes; they're always really succinct. I used them for G484, but completely forgot abut the G485 ones. I'll add them to the OP - thanks
