Re: Fabrice Muamba
So sad that he's critically ill still. We now have to hope in the next few days looking at the news for updates. He's still fighting for his life and he has a small aged-child. I am sure he wants to see his father play, but he may not.
Hopefully he recovers, then we hope he plays again, but life comes first. -

Bolton's game on Tues vs Villa postponed. Good decision I guess, everyone will be very busy due to this!
Well done to PL and Villa for understandingLast edited by mr tim; 18-03-2012 at 13:08. -
Re: Fabrice MuambaI think this is the best decision. I personally could not play a few days later after something like yesterday.(Original post by mr tim)

Re: Fabrice MuambaIs that because of the lack of oxygen to his brain?(Original post by Femto)
Cardiologist said on ITV news, "We aren't concerned about the condition of his heart. What we are concerned about is whether or not he will be the same person as he was before the incident"
It really is sad - I am praying for you Fabrice!
That's really sad, if you know...:'( Let's keep praying and hoping for the best for when he wakes up. I doubt he's going to ever play football again, but at least he may have the opportunity to do something else. E.g coaching or commentary or something else football related

Re: Fabrice MuambaWill be a little while before they know if there is any long term damage but the people that worked on him on the pitch have given him the best possible chances.(Original post by Femto)

On a separate note the procedures used to help Muamba were introduced after Petr Cechs head injury a few seasons ago, apparently Cech was heavily involved in the changes. -
Re: Fabrice Muambahttp://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...-west-17423952 How sad(Original post by little_wizard123)
I heard the story earlier about the Kilmarnock player's dad who had a heart attack at his final today, and apparently he died. Horrible.

Re: Fabrice Muamba
I remember watching the sevilla game when Puerta collapsed. He walked off and I didnt think much of it until I heard a few days later that he had passed away. Hopefully, the reaction of the medical team in the muamba incident and the lessons learned from previous incidents such as the puerta and Feher incidents will help Fabrice make a recovery.
