    Novice question on Whey
Ok, I went to this fitness store and asked the guy in charge about Whey (shakes). He said that the shakes are good protein supplements which will help in muscle repair; I'm not quite sure what he meant by "muscle repair"; would someone help me out with this please

Also, he said since the shake is essentially liquid, it would be absorbed much faster than eating normal physical foods such as chicken or eggs. Is this true?

I'm not sure if my protein is enough really; I usually eat a boiled/fried egg everyday with chicken breast (200+-), would I still need Whey for this? I usually eat those with rice.

    Many thanks

*Owh, BTW, those Whey are expensive!

When your hitting the gym, your tearing muscle fibres. The muscle grows when it repairs (usually in your sleep). What he means by muscle repair is that this fixing of the muscle fibres and therefore growth is more affective and is also faster.
