Access to Medicine course (part-time) and GAMSAT
    Hey guys!

I recently graduated from Lancaster University with a 2.1 (not a science related subject) and have been interested for some years in going on to pursue a career in Medicine. Anyway, I recently began a job working as a HCA at a local Hospital on a full-time basis, and had intended on studying for GAMSAT independently, but having pretty much got the Biology covered and learnt to a good standard in just 2-3 months, I'm struggling with the Chemistry stuff.

Anyway, I've seen a local college offering an 'Access to Medicine' course, covering all the topics.. either on a full time or part time course. Now, I'm looking at the part-time course (covering 2 years). Does anyone have any experience of this course? and would it be of a high enough level for me to pass GAMSAT?

I think my plan would be to do the first year (until June time), and then revise hard up until September for GAMSAT. If I pass it, great, I'll apply for GEM courses, but I'd still continue with the course as it would no doubt be an excellent grounding for medicine. If I don't pass it, oh well, I'll just re-sit it later on.

    Thoughts?

I've been looking at Bristol Uni, who accept the access to medicine and have no need for for the GAMSAT... There are so many differences between each university and their entry requirements aren't there?

Sorry if that's irrelevant, but it's my only relevant knowledge to your post!
