Is Russia Today bias against the West?
Russia Today often portrays the West in a derogatory way and is not very forthcoming about its own news, like the Russian election when it came out completely in favour of Vladimir Putin; or other issues such as Chechnya.
    Please, your thoughts?

Could it be because it is owned by the Russian Government?

They are the same as the BBC. Just like the BBC has a pro monarchy bias RT has a pro Putin bias. Just like the BBC has a pro UK government bias in war situations, RT has a pro Russia bias in war situations.

sort of different, putin is an evil dictator, ok maybe not evil just completely self obsessed, and the monarchy is constitutional i.e has no say over the running of the country. I'm not sure whether the BBC was bias in war situations I think they just reported the news as it came. Over and out!

Yes but the US corporate media isn't better. It's just more subtle. If you want independent info you'll have to look for specific journalists or Al Jazeera. The BBC can be good but you'll learn nothing from it because they treat their audience like children.

I agree that Russia today is alway portaying the West in a bad light, but it is normal for any powerful news agency to put their propaganda. The BBC, CNN and so on do absolutely the same but when it comes to portraying the Russia, China and the Middle East. This is the problem with mainstream media nowadays, it is never objective. Media sources and channels all around the world seem to have forgotten what journalism is all about

I think the russia need to be more strong, because if one side get stronger then its not the good for the rest of the world, now we are looking that the US become more powerful than russia and after that so many wars happen in the region.
