    Cats and hunting
Apparently last night after my parents had gone to bed and I'd gone to bed, my brother came home and found some remains in the back room.
Apparently there was the lower half of a rabbit, a few paws, intestines were spread across the floor and there was an awful lot of blood.

Also, apparently there was blood splatter up the cupboards and a piece of intestine hanging off one cupboard.
Ollie usually kills things, no doubt about that but this time he butchered it.
Oh and apparently there were drag marks in blood from where he obviously dragged the body around a bit.

He may be middle aged (he turns 10 years old in May) but he's still got it.

A recent picture of the blood thirsty killer.
    Spoiler:

Anyone else's cat do this? As in not just killing but butchering?

Thankfully I didn't, my brother did. He did a good job of it too.

Is it on a particular animal? Like squirrels or mice?

I thought this was going to be a thread about the sexual prowess of an ageing cat.

My cats, between 3 of them over about 6 years, have managed to catch 2 birds. Just 2.

And I am so grateful that they are such crappy hunters

How about squrrels? My cats quite big boned but he can catch squrrels. I first realised when I found a decapitated squrrel he'd kindly left for me.

I've never seen him catch a squirrel, but I guess that doesnt mean that he's never caught one

Do you know why that is? I just assumed all cats were awesome hunters.

I was half expecting him to have blood round his mouth :O Tbh aren't cats just renowned for hunting and massacring? Some worse than others clearly!

My cat doesn't leave anything - he caught a rabbit recently and all that was left was two back paws and a tail. Then he went back and ate them too.

Needless to say he's so fat he gets stuck in the cat flap.

    Spoiler:
    Show
    but I love him anyway
