Re: Ways your parents treat you that you promise you wont do to your kids?
I wouldnt belittle them and make them feel like they always fall short of the mark.
I will never refer too them as a disappointment, or a failure, or tell them that they should of got an A* instead of an A,
Although I will have private expectations or desires of what I want my children too do, too be a success, I will never tell them if they dont reach them. If my child wants too work in McDonalds but their happy, then I will be content.
I will not 'ban' them from doing anything, I will not 'ban' them from having a boyfriend or girlfriend becuase Im scared of them getting hurt, I want them too make their own mistakes like ive made mine. I wont try too control their life or tell them they cant get married, or move out of home or do what they want.
More so, I would want them too look at me and think 'I'd like too be like my mum' not ' I am never turning out too be like my mother' which is my view
Finally I will never shout at them in anger or shout over them I will always compromise
