    Getting Published
    Getting Published

So for the first time a couple of days ago I was approached by someone who was composing a photography book. Its basically of a printed gallery of photographs correlated by style - if you know what I mean? I have no clue how they found the photo or why they selected it but they did. So I am no help what so ever to this thread!

Anyway it got me thinking that this would be a good thread for noobs and pros a-like to share some experience. How many of you guys here are published photographers - even publish amateurs - and
    how did you get published?

EDIT: Feel free to comment on how you have tried and what techniques you have used etc. Really just any input that will help people who don't know about this kind of thing

Approached by the BBC who wanted to use one of my images on the main BBC News website, for a journalistic piece they were doing on the impact of cold weather (after -18 during winter 2010/2011) on wildlife.

Thats it. I have a couple of contacts on flickr who were approached to have images used as book covers.
