Re: 2012 Malaysian GP Thread
I'm expecting Mercedes, Lotus and perhaps Ferrari to show their hand a bit more this time out. There's quite a few long straights which traditionally play to McLaren's strengths, will be interesting to see whether that holds true with their current car.
I'm quietly and cautiously hoping for a repeat of 2009 form from Jenson.

Re: 2012 Malaysian GP ThreadWhat about Maurissa? They don't have the ugly nose either...(Original post by Monkey_Pete)
i want mclaren/button to win again, but mainly because they are the only car without the stupid looking nose
I reckon that Toro rosso should do quite well, probably a points finish -

.....because they are the only car without the stupid looking nose
What's that supposed to mean? McLaren went for a lower nose as it gave them a lower CoG. Over the past few years that's always been their design philosophy. -
Re: 2012 Malaysian GP Threadgood point, the track is a bit like the nurburgring track where the weather is unpredictable, even despite using the weather stations.(Original post by Herr)
There are no accurate weather forecasts for Malaysia and weather can change with very short or no notice at all, also Kuala Lumpur is almost 60km away from the F1 circuit in Sepang, it could very well be raining cats and dogs in Kuala Lumpur but bone dry in Sepang.s -
Re: 2012 Malaysian GP Thread
I hope a tribute is done for Simoncelli.
I love how most of the grid is now competitive judging by Australia, we should see some great battles at every single race. As always, i hope for a McLaren 1-2 but i'm also looking down the field and hoping for good races from the Saubers, they have good drivers and good cars.
I genuinely believe because of the way the cars have come along that every race is going to be a belter. I mean i can only judge it by Australia but look at the way the grid was set up, teams seem to be closer to each other this year so we should see some great battles at every race.
Best to wait till about Thursday night before we look at weather, track temperatures and all that. -
Re: 2012 Malaysian GP Thread
A more civilised hour at least

Hope Lotus and Mercedes can take the fight to the big boys, if silly mistakes and idiotic Venezuelans stay out the equation we could have one hell of a scrap.
There's no such thing as a weather forecast for Malaysia, there's 'wishful thinking', 'hope' and 'a stab in the dark'
