    Kings Secondary Science PGCE
    Hi guys,

I have applied to do the secondary science PGCE at Kings, I have an interview next week and was told this in the e-mail:

"The selection procedure consists of a formal individual interview, a writing task, a short test of some aspects of your scientific knowledge and the presentation of a short talk. For this, you are asked to prepare a 5-minute talk about any science topic that interests you. You should imagine that your audience is a class of 16 year-old students who have successfully completed a double award in GCSE science. You will present this to a practising teacher and some of the other candidates and may use PowerPoint, models or other aids. The following equipment will be available: a laptop and data-projector; a whiteboard, a flipchart, and an overhead projector. Although you do not have to use these, you should aim to interest your audience."

So I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or advice? What questions did they ask? What was the writing task about?

I'd appreciate any help anyone can give, many thanks.
