Re: First Driving Lesson Tomorrow!Go nice and slow at first.....because the acceleration is quite sensitive in gear 1.(Original post by Chriss95)
Hi everyone!
Ive just come along this forum and thought I would tell you that I have my first driving lesson tomorrow!
Im really excited, only a little bit nervous
Have you got any advice or tips?
Even share some of your experiences?
Make sure, you make smooth releases/pressure on the pedals as well. -
Re: First Driving Lesson Tomorrow!
Be responsive, listen to your instructor. It must be incredibly frustrating to teach someone who doesn't listen, so take everything on board. Make a good first impression, befriend your instructor. I personally went out with my dad before and learnt a couple of things, so it made me feel a little bit ahead, haha. However, the biggest piece of advice I can give you is to keep calm! Enjoy learning to drive; the people that enjoy it are the people who will pass the quickest, simply because they love to drive

Re: First Driving Lesson Tomorrow!I'm glad you enjoyed it. Stick in there and you'll be on the road by yourself in no time(Original post by Chriss95)
Hi everyone, i really enjoyed my first lesson! I went around the local estate, practised left turns and using the indicator. I also went into gear 2, cant wait for my next one
. I think you should start studying for the theory test just now, if you haven't done so already, it's always nice to get the thoery out of the way so all you then need to do is get stuck in to your lessons and get ready for your practical test.

Re: First Driving Lesson Tomorrow! Thanks. I've just turned 22, you? How many lessons are you doing a week? I started off at one a week but then moved to two a week. It help you develope much more, if you have the money for it obviously.
Yeah, I'm chuffed. I'm looking forward to being on the road on my own but I still need to remember that just becuase I've passed my test it doesn't mean I've learnt eveything lol. The real learning begins now
