oh that would be great...thank you!!!
I'll message it to you!
To be honest, not much really... I've just reading through examiners' reports. I've got an exam tomorrow so I'm focusing on that right now, but all through the weekend is history revision!(Original post by EdSonnex)
This exams absolutely vile, what's your teacher said to you about how to tackle it?
Mine has not been overly helpful.. -
Re: OCR History A: Democracy and Dictatorship in GermanyMe too! I've got this exam tomorrow at 1.30pm(Original post by bronn)
Anyone? Hi 5 to me for leaving my revision until tonight, been concentrating on everything else! Stressed is not the word...
crapping myself tbh, my teacher reckons The Holocaust will come up..cos it never has. Although we haven't learnt much cos my teacher taught us the wrong stuff for the first 3 months...then we got a new teacher cos our other history teacher disappeared..it was a mess!
I'm gonna focus on Holocaust i.e "The Jewish Question" and GDR/FRD -

Re: OCR History: Dictatorship and Democracy in Germany, 1933-1963
That was all right in the end. 4)a was better than 4)b but overall the paper could been worse. Bit annoyed our teacher spent 90% of the year just telling us stories about the Nazis and then in the last 2 weeks we had to study post war Germany. Luckily I could remember the Berlin Uprising 1953 to use as my own knowledge but I couldn't remember much else, so I just kept talking about that.

Re: OCR History: Dictatorship and Democracy in Germany, 1933-1963Yeah I thought 4a was so confusing at first. I had to reread it, but same I'm not sure whether I've interpreted it correctly.(Original post by titch_04)
4a was so weird!! Don't know if I interpreted the question right but think 4b was quite a good question... anyone else? -
Re: OCR History: Dictatorship and Democracy in Germany, 1933-1963I talked about how it was typical for the GDR to blame the west, A was harsher than D, and then about how A came about after the June 1953 uprising so the GVT had to take a strong position where as D came after the wall so tensions eased a little; hence, source D was a bit calmer in language?(Original post by Wonderstruck)

Re: OCR History: Dictatorship and Democracy in Germany, 1933-1963My teacher did the same thing =.= we didn't start post-war Germany until after Easter I think or just before? Which is ridiculous as it's been post-war in the summer for the past few years...(Original post by S1L3NTPR3Y)

Re: OCR History: Dictatorship and Democracy in Germany, 1933-1963Yeah I wrote both were similar in blaming the west and they did not want them to influence society (I also added words such as "angry" and "contempt" since I was initially confused over the attitude thing. But yeah I mentioned source A was more exaggerated and the June Uprising too, but source D was after the Berlin Wall so they were able to allow some tolerance in the music.(Original post by Americaniamh)
