Please help
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if you could please give me some information about postgraduate thing particularly MA. I'm planning to do my MA in translation and Interpreting in the UK but don't know the entire process for it. I mean, to the best of my knowledge in order to apply for MA you need: 1 uni degree and 2 IELTS. If these are essential, can I apply starting from now although I don't have my uni degree? ( probably i will graduate after 6 months). The same thing goes for IELTS; I am also working on it but still don't have it.
Could you also please tell me about scholarship that British unis give for International students? I mean, is there sort of complete funding ( including renting, food, etc.. or they only help you in the Masters' fees?
Any information about Masters and scholarships would be appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance

Re: Please help
You can apply for a masters course when you are in the final year of your undergrad degree. In order to do so you may require an official interim transcript from your undergrad uni. You may also want to ask your referees to mention the overall grade that you are on track for, in their references.
There are some exceptions to the IELTS requirement which you may want to look up. If your situation is not among those you may still apply but may very likely receive an offer in which one of the conditions is your receiving a satisfactory grade in the IELTS.
Scholarships are difficult. There are very few full ones available in general so even fewer for international students. findamasters.com is a good place to start but also look out for uni/dept specific ones, ones from your home country, ones from the British Council, ones from NGOs and charities.
Good luck! -
Re: Please helpHey Sarah, it depends where you're from whether or not you pay fees! But if you are outwith Britain then I think you need to pay for your masters, which, off the top of my head costs roughly £13,000 for international students in Scotland. Not sure about England. You could get a scholarship if you excel in your field, I know at my university there were lots of scholarships that people didn't know about so nobody really bothered applying for them. Only found out about those once I finished!(Original post by Great Britain)
