It is possible to study on a 2+2 scheme, where you study certain modules with the OU and then transfer to a brick uni.
Universities may also accept some OU courses for entry at their own discretion. In that case, you should email unis and ask what they would require. I highly doubt they would accept just Openings courses for example.
