    Course Structure of A&F
    Hey guys,

i got an offer for A&F and was wondering how diversified is the course content. I know that on the website they said that there will be economics and maths included but i was wondering the extent/depth those courses will take. Is it in equal amounts/weightage as compared to Accounting / finance modules?

Also, i'd like to know whether you guys think that LSE 100 course is useful or just a waste of time like some have told me..

thanks so much for your time if there are any LSE A&F students out there or you know anything about this, could you please help me out?

I'm in the same boat as you, really interested in taking not just A&F modules but being able to diversify. Received my offer two days ago will probably still firm but would still like to know a bit more.

Also what I've heard from the majority of people on the forums is that the general consensus about LSE 100 is that its a real waste of time. But hey I'm sure everything will balance out right? haha. Maybe see you next year

in the first year you have two routes you can go down, the one with full units of maths and stats
and the one with half units of maths and stats and an extra unit in something else
everyone does econ b module and accounting module

    see: http://www.lse.ac.uk/resources/calen...AndFinance.htm

lse100 is a load of crap and a waste of time

hahaha good observation! yeah I do, I've always held LSE over Warwick but recently I have just become a bit hesitant for pretty much the exact same reasons that you've outlined on this forum (flexibility, quality of teaching etc.).
Nevertheless I think we'd still be foolish to turn down our LSE offers, it is after all LSE Interested to hear a reply from Milan wrt teaching quality.

teaching is not amazing, your teachers will (most of the time) be postgrad students
people will always complain about LSE teaching and lectures, but there's plenty of ways to get more contact hours and learning in
last year i didnt utilise teachers office hours this year i did, and its must better you can actually have 1 to 1 time with the teacher
for a lot of subjects you have 2 hours lectures 1 hour class for 4 modules, which is 12 hours contact time only
you're left to do a lot of work yourself

Although you're reply didn't seem very promising, I guess thats what the real world is about, taking your own initiative. Like you said if people are proactive they can make the most of it. Assuming you're at LSE, what course and year are you in?
