Do any non-Londoners care about the 2012 Olympics?

    Not particularly, no

Yes I do. It's a great time to show our great country to the world. It'll be nice and it'll hopefully bring in a lot of business and fun.

I can't believe how miserable everybody is.

Cram, Coe, Holmes, Redgrave, Gunnell, Radcliffe, Jesusboy Edwards, etc. Couldn't muster up an interesting bit of banter if their lives depended on it.

Then on top of that there'll be all the normal BBC dull brigade - Barker, that dyke, Inverdale, that bent lad from Durham.

Genuinely my favourite post of my 3 years on TSR

I'm not from London but from a town about 20 minutes away by train. I simply cannot wait until the Olympics! I think the atmosphere will be amazing. Of course there will be crowds, but that's all part of the fun and excitement. I have football tickets, but even if I didn't then I'd still go into London during the Olympics and try to get a free view of part of the marathon or the rowing or something like that, just to savour the buzz and atmosphere. I've always loved watching the Olympics, so I'll be following it on TV as well.

I go to uni in London and I'm glad I wont be around during the olympic period. Most londoners seem to be renting out their flat for a grand a week or whatever and ****ing off.

Not really, no. In fact, I'm dreading what they've got planned for the Opening Ceremony, and have been for four years - ever since they decided to be 'quirky' and shove Leona Lewis and David Beckham on a red double decker bus.

I'm looking forward to more Boris flag-waving, though:

I'm absolutely dreading the Olympics, if I'm honest. I think it's going to be so embarrassing because we're following China, which had an astounding opening ceremony... ours is going to be awful and cringeworthy in comparison.

I'm only going to watching three things this olympics,
Usain bolt win the 100 and 200 meters, jessica ennis's bum, victoria pendleton's legs.

    That is all.
