Here is my third entry. Its a traditional sponge recipe which I then split in three and coloured before baking. Its iced with buttercream and the decorations are fondant (except the basket which is made of chocolate).

My entry: simnel cupcakes with marzipan decorations. There's also a layer of marzipan cooked into the cake.

MINe and a friends's entry
A three layered cake ( flavoured with yummy artifical flavourings (Strawberry, vanilla and a tutti-fruiti blue thing) ) with chocolate cream cheese frosting decorated with cute little fondant things
We even attempted to make a sugar spun birds nest and ended up making dangerous looking candy floss~
It was really fun making this

Basically the chicks took over nad that massive chick is made up of leftover cake+some yummy cheesecake frosting
And yes hta tis a rabbit's butt you see there
The chicks have taken over

Re: The TSR Easter cooking & baking competition!
There are some really excellent entries here! I don't stand a chance but I thought I would share the cake that my friend and I made. I think that those of you who are familiar with internet memes will appreciate it. The colours aren't as vibrant as we hoped (damn those natural food colourings!) but it tastes so good!

Re: The TSR Easter cooking & baking competition!
Here's mine and CJ's Easter bunny cake
He is almond flavour with an angel icing coating with dessicated coconut sprinkled on top for furr
In between the layers is butter icing
YUM!
We weren't sure if he would look better with white eyes though?
We tried to make him different colour layers but they didn't come out very vibrant
Bottom layer is green, middle is yellow and top is regular cake:
