The only person who is setting the pace by a big margin is 'hooby'. The rest of you need to step it up

Re: The TSR Easter cooking & baking competition!Classic
Did you make them with shredded wheat?
Those look to die for. Love the decoration, and the cream egg in the middle is really inventive! How did they taste? Were they good or a bit sickly?(Original post by moregano)

Re: The TSR Easter cooking & baking competition!I did

First time I've done them with anything but cornflakes, and was pleasently surprised (i've actually never had shredded wheat before today!), wanted something a bit more nesty/twiggy than cornflakes though!
Got a few more planned over the next two weeks, but figured they would fulfil my baking urges for now!! -

Re: The TSR Easter cooking & baking competition!Yeah, they definitely do well for the 'nesty' look. I tried them with shredded wheat last year but I think I added too much golden syrup as they were a little on the chewy side. Might try again this year...(Original post by Ruthie!)

Re: The TSR Easter cooking & baking competition!I didn't add golden syrup for that exact reason. I ummed and ahh-ed for a while and decided to risk it without, and they're not bad actually, they got the seal of approval from my little sister which is saying something(Original post by fleur de lis)
