Daily Mail triumphs at the journalism oscars
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...sm-Oscars.html

Judges praised the DM for and I quote

hard-hitting journalism, virulent opinion, remorseless commitment, courage and conviction’ and described it as a ‘consistently must-read product’.

The left on here need to accept they are a minority in this country. The DM apart from 'the sun' is the most bought newspaper in the country, it's website is the most viewed news website on the planet. The DM is the voice of the silent taxpayer, gives voice to the traditional british view on the issues, gives a voice to the silent majority. The liberal ruling elite may have won the battle against the prime minister who never was,who had 80 percent of the popular vote in this country, Brigadier enoch powell until they pulled their dirty tricks ,but they will not win the war.

Thanks to 'new media' and the likes of the Daily Mail which are prepared to unlike the BBC cover sensitive news storys and tell the truth about what the rat bums, the vermin in power have done. Long may it continue. Nigel Farage just the other day said in a speech that in the future a right wing movement will form in this country which unlike the BNP will concentrate in uniting that silent majority no matter their creed or colour and bring about serious political change including leaving the EU.

Lol @ your post. Whats with the completely irrelevant, unintelligent and incoherent ramblings about 'the left'? Jesus, the fact you actually think the daily fail is anything other than a cant-pass-gcse-workers circle jerk bum fest in order for people to completely over sensationalize every piece of news ever made just says something about you really.

you mad that the DM is taking over the world?tits and bums in the celeb section on the website and daily muslim, benefit scrounger bashing and cameron urine taking makes for a perfect combo. I just love how they bash the coalition government. The other week one of their columists had a picture of cameron alongside hitler when moaning about the disabled getting done over saying cameron has mental problems caused by the death of his son which is why he has a problem with disabled people as he is angry they are alive and his son dead, saying his collegues should remove cameron. You couldn't get that anywhere else. . The other day they had an article mocking cameron when he said he was 'tucked up by the president.

    The DM is class.

Would you call peter hitchens and simon heffer ,max hastings unintelligent? The guys who run the DM know their target group, if the majority of readers were thick those columnists wouldn't be employed by them. In fact you are very mistaken, the most common DM reader is a middle class, at least A level educated woman market research suggests.

Unfortunately the columnists you mention probably are intelligent people, they just choose to write garbage full of incredibly unsound arguments to appeal to the ignorance and prejudice of their readership.

I also think its pretty funny that you don't think other papers consistently mock the coalition and make slightly risqué political cartoons - why would they not? You get that stuff literally everywhere.

..and this is why this country is falling apart. The most sold newspaper reads as if it was made for children, and the DM is tabloid **** proof read by dyslexics eg. they once wrote an article on cornflower (not cornflour).

Well firstly this just goes to show that the press awards are obviously meaningless.

Secondly, I love your rant about the left here. Just because the Daily Mail is bought a lot just like "The Sun" that doesn't mean it's a good paper. It's about quality not quantity. That just means that there's a lot of people who like news articles that are written by and written for people with a low reading age, oh and don't forget the tits. In terms of tits, The Sun has page three, and The Daily Mail has Peter Hitchens and Max Hastings.

Both of these publications spout boring, over emotional drivel that can only be described as fear mongering and so on.
The Daily Mail might see this as a triumph, but it just proves how meaningless those awards truly are.

I thought to win an award for a newspaper, it'd have to report factual, true news. Apparently not.
