    Why do you want to study in the UK?
    Hi guys,

    (A quick disclaimer: I am not advertising!)

    I'm a 2nd year British student working for an education consultancy and I am trying to learn more about overseas students who come to the UK for higher education. I'd mainly like to ask:

    - Why do you want to come to the UK?
    and;
    - Where did you get the idea to come to the UK from?

    Thanks

    Besides the obvious reason (good prestigious unis)

    ANSWER 1 : To enjoy different culture, climate, to get a sense of freedom... no one will interfere with your doings... you'll be independent...

    ANSWER 2 : I grew up reading books written by British authors ( J.K.Rowling, Enid Bliton etc etc) thats where from I got the idea.

    It's hard to describe. I'm Canadian-Swiss so I can satisfy my Anglophone side with the sensibility of being European.
