KCL Dietetics 2012 applicants
Anyone had an interview for dietetics at KCL? Anyone heard back yet? Had mine on Wednesday. Was tougher than I thought it might be in some ways as they clearly expected us to already know a lot but I thought the questions were pretty fair. Expecting results in 3 weeks but with 120 interviews and only 22 places I'm not hopeful! How'd it go for you?

Haha, yes, if memory isn't failing me I remember you! Thinking back on the interview I feel like I said some pretty silly things but...positive thinking.
From my experience you never know what could happen as my first interview I felt pretty great afterwards but ultimately was rejected (was gutting!). Have you gotten any offers yet, otherwise?

Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicants
I'm not sure, the woman who took my group reminded me of Arwen from Lord of the Rings (hopefully that's not insulting because I think Arwen is lovely)! Haha, she was very nice! :3
When I heard about the places and the amount of people who applied...a *bit* intimidating! -
Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicants
I'm relieved I wasn't the only one who found it tough. Felt like everything I know went out of my head. I said some silly things too TeddyPlanet! I know the pg is much more competitive, but this still feels really hard! I have a place somewhere else, but obviously it would be amazing to get into King's! Lots of people seem to be getting rejected this year and the place numbers have dropped a lot. The wait is torture!

Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicantsYeah, I said some silly stuff too! Ah, well we should know in a few weeks. :s The same happened to me with my first interview. Well, I have a Coventry offer(Original post by teddyplanet)

and one for nutrition (I won't take it up though because I really want to do dietetics). I 'd love to go to Kings so much though. Do you have any offers yet?

Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicantsI do, from UWIC (and am very pleased that I have it, from what I saw Cardiff was very nice!).(Original post by iona.carys)

*But*, I knew from the start that I really, really want to go to Kings, and visiting it just made that even more clear to myself. Of course the main thing is studying Dietetics but Kings really did 'wow' me.
Fingers crossed for everyone here!
Didn't know the competition was heavier in the PG! -
Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicants
The UWIC campus is supposed to be brilliant. That's great that you both have offers. I could only apply in London because of family stuff and I have an offer for London Met, which I'm really pleased about. It's so hard to know what all the different unis are looking for! If you get King's will you firm it?

Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicants
King's would definitely be my firm! I would love to go there.
Yeah, I have a few friends going to UWIC (not for dietetics), but I decided I wanted to leave Wales, but student life in Cardiff is apparently great!
Congrats on your offers guys and good luck to both of you, hopefully we will all be at King's next year

Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicantsHey, my interview was on March 21st and they said to expect to hear back in around 3 weeks, so I am expecting to hear back around next week (although I don't expect good news(Original post by freebee)
Hi guys
Has anyone heard from King's for Dietetics yet? They said to me end of March/Start of April.
I don't think I've got in but I just want to know so I can make plans. The interview I don't think I fared that well compared to the others.

Re: KCL Dietetics 2012 applicantsCongratulations Beebe!(Original post by Beebe)
I got a conditional offer this evening. They're obviously staggering the responses as a few people on another forum got offers yesterday. All is not lost! Very good luck to you all!
Shame freebee, I didn't get in either...but, this does mean I will firm UWIC and I'm actually incredibly excited for it (assuming I make the grade!). Now I just know what I will be working towards and knowing exactly what I need to do is quite reassuring.(Original post by freebee)
Didn't get in!
Well I got 3 offers out of 5 which is not bad going. I'm going to firm Surrey, reserve Cardiff and decline London Met.
Happy Easter everyone!
And yes, happy Easter! :3 -

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get into King's. Please could I ask what your message from kings said? Was it just a standard rejection email? The reason I am asking is because I was sent a conditional offer email and then 2 days later a rejection email saying I did not get in as I do not meet the academic requirements...
If i'm not in King's I will see you at Surrey in September
I don't know if you'll remember me, or if you saw me, I was a brunette in a suit and ponytail. I found the interview somewhat tricky as well and I'm really, really hoping I didn't mess it up!
I loved the uni though. I think I remember you teddyplanet, we were on the tour together. I was the blonde in a trench coat.
