    Moving to London - Accommodation
Just wondering what peoples plans are for accommodation next year if they are moving to London?

I have been offered a place on a Big 4 graduate scheme, but haven't thought about housing yet, i thought it would be best to do a lot closer to the time, i.e start of summer.

I moved up early because my girlfriend lives in London, we just signed a contract two days ago.

It is a very competitive market.

How much is the rent and whereabouts are you living? I've heard you'll be lucky if you can get a decent placed (shared) for £500p/m.

You'll be surpised how cheap you could find somewhere. I found a flat in shoreditch (very close to liverpool street) for £450 a month all inclusive, large living room, double bed, a balcony and only sharing with one person. www.Spareroom.co.uk is the best site for finding somewhere imo, just be wary of timewasters. Rooms tend to go quickly on the that site so it's not worth looking at until you're ready to move within 2 weeks or so. There are plenty of cheap options in the Docklands area as well.

You really have to choose what you want and where you want to live carefully as Tokyoround said. I used www.gumtree.com and www.findaproperty.com but that was for a complete flat rather than a room to rent.
