    I agree, a significant overestimation..
Just wrote a more comprehensive reply, but I would say about 500 calories considering OP is throwing away a lot of their food? I don't know how much they put on their plate though.

I'd say that's about right, pretty worrying considering the average brain uses about 400 kcal or so just by itself...

If you consider the body will naturally start restricting the supply of nutrients to 'less important' physiological functions if there is a deficit of supply, and if the brain requires 400kcal on its own, then the current eating patterns could be damaging to say the least (if not addressed)

Very true, long-term effects of such a diet can be fatal in some cases.

If I continued to eat this way what would happen? If I ate like, say, 100 calories more a day, would this get my body out of 'starvation mode'? Atm breakfast = 350 calories, lunch = 500 calories, dinner = 650 calories. If I increased breakfast, like ate some grapes and maybe 1 egg, that'd add about 250 calories, would that be enough to improve health?
I'm sorry but if you've already started counting calories, you've already lost the battle. You have to LOVE to eat to stay healthy! It has to be fun, and as long as it is you're neither in danger of over- nor of undereating. Try and focus more on the state of mind when you do eat, your mind shouldn't be obsessing about mass or calorific intake, it should be working its best to ENJOY it. That's why evolution gave us taste buds!

It's actually 500 kcal. When I was anorexic, I was eating less than 500 kcal and went for an MRI. My brain had actually shrunk it's reversible but I still feel the effects of it today, so it's really important that OP eats more.

Well you must have started out with a ginormous brain to begin with. I mean, you're pretty damn sharp and brainy

Ahh even worse then Although I guess the average TSR users' brain needs higher than average calories

Haha awww thanks! It's really bad though. If you don't get at least 500 kcals your brain just eats itself. I have so much difficulty concentrating and stuff, prone to memory loss etc. when before I was really sharp!

Haha :P But seriously, any less than that and your brain can't maintain itself. That's why you're more prone to mood swings, less likely to be happy etc. because emotions are regulated by the brain and they're one of the first things to go out the window when the brain is being starved.
