What are the uses for converging lenses when the object is situated at these different distances:

    (where F= Focal length)

    Object is beyond 2F

    Object is at 2F

    Object beyond F and 2F

Object between F and the lens (one use is magnifying glasses, any others?)

please note: I know all the types of images formed at each distance just not examples of how the 'distances' or lenses are used in practise

    Thanks for any help
