Leeds Uni Sept 2012
Hey everyone,
For those of you who have confirmed, or are considering Leeds Uni as your first choice, thought I would make you aware of a Facebook page my friend has set up in order to help you to find other people on your course/halls since not everyone uses TSR. The page is also an opportunity to ask questions to current students at Leeds Uni, including myself, and other students around Leeds.

Good luck

Re: Leeds Uni Sept 2012Freshers week starts on monday 17th September, with most people arriving the weekend before(Original post by Lydia29)
I'm wondering if anyone knows when Leeds Freshers Week 2012 starts? I've been told that its the 10th September- but I always thought it was later?
Would really appreciate if anyone could help me!
Thank you

Re: Leeds Uni Sept 2012Some freshers events begin on the 14th of Sept too, as to accommodate for international and other students who are moving in early, as I understand halls contracts begin earlier than freshers week. The main week is from the 17th though(Original post by Lydia29)

Re: Leeds Uni Sept 2012Whatever you want to do really! There's formalities such as registering with the university and attending a few induction/introduction lectures. But there's also fresher's fairs, where all the uni societies have a stall to advertise what they do and get people signed up. In the evenings the union tends to put on shows, like one night there's usually a psychic show at the union (which sounds weird but it genuinely is really, really REALLY good!). Of course there's also all the nights out at the clubs doing freshers events, usually drinks offers and stuff.(Original post by africananimals)
Does anyone know what Freshers week involves?? The activities that we are doing?? Thanks!
Other than that, it's just a chance to get settled in before you start studying

I'm not completely into that kind of stuff, but I am curious. -
Re: Leeds Uni Sept 2012Actually I don't think psychic is the best term for him, he's a hypnotist. Basically he gets a load of people at the start of the show to run onto stage and sit on a chair. If you get one, he uses you for the entire show! So hypnotises you then makes you do really funny stuff, and at the end you have no recollection of what youve been doing for the past hour!
