I'm with WJEC, about 3 people quit physics from my class in March (when they got Us). Up until March, all of our lessons consisted of our teacher constantly answering their questions (can you explain that again? Why does light split up? Can light go backwards too?). It sounds awful, but I'm kind-of glad they have left.
Gosh, I wish people would leave my physics class! Only three of us actually passed the mock in January and the average class mark was somewhere around 40%. Not one person dropped out (though I think one guy may be taking it over two years) even though at least five of them got below 20%. The worst of it is that a quarter of my class is re-sitting! I mean, the majority of the class are fine, but some of them just waste time and we're weeks behind on the course now.

Oh no, it isn't that I'm looking for the easy way out. The problem is organising with my school to sit the PAT, but I'm sure it wouldn't be that much of a fuss. I've already had a look at past papers and I've covered most of the work, more so in the maths section, but still only a small majority (about 40% maybe I haven't encountered before). I actually do quite like the idea of an entry exam and the application process of Oxford.

Chemistry this year is fantastic, as my teacher is just brilliant. He has fan sites... >.< and with just 4 of us, we blaze through topics. I always feel a bit awkward though, as the other 3 want to do chemistry, whilst I'm the physicist. ^_^
    he has fan sites? ^^

can I have a link please?

    Indeed
Here's some German for you to listen to It's the trailer of a really cute film:

    Spanish sounds cool
It would be grand Although if we got into different colleges we could still see each other
I don't think I've been out at all But I've got plans for the next three days  Ooh a party, awesome. Definitely! But there will still be holiday homework :nothing:
Tbh I think speaking Russian would be just as hard to make relevant as playing the piano Are you going to say anything about extracurriculars?
Oh, are the actors actually father and daughter? They have the same surname...
It does sound very hard to pronounce though. :erm:

Yep, I like it, but I think the French accent is a bit nicer.
Yep, definitely. It's not as if they're far from each other.
Oh, that sounds good. I went down to the shops earlier to get a present for one of my friends and then found that in Boots they had a 3 for 2 offer on a load of make up and ended up buying the present for my friend and then a load of nail varnish for me. So are you doing anything nice?
    That and the PS. :/
Well you're applying for a language course and learning Russian in your own time will show that you love languages.
Not really. I don't have any tbh. I usually just go out with friends to relax. I play piano, but not at all well, so I'll just talk about books that I've read or masterclasses that I've been on.

Howdy. Yeah, I've spent a week between a County and Magistrates' Court, a week with a barrister, and have got weeks with Pinsent Masons and Anthony Collins LLP sorted for after exams. So that'll give me a month of experience, at least, which I feel isn't a bad start. Are you also applying for Law?

AQA, and my two modules are Tsarist Russia and USA & Vietnam. Yourself?
Damn, you've done quite a lot of work experience. Yes, I'm applying for law as well but I really don't know where to start looking to be honest. I just wanna get in about two weeks or so.

Ah, I'm doing Tsarist Russia and Nazi Germany. How are you finding Russia? Me personally, I'm not doing so well with it - suck with exam style and what needs to be written.

Yes, they are father and daughter
I think the girl had at least two roles in her fathers' films before "Kokowähh"
I really enjoyed watching the films, they are quite funny.

Ah, the pernicious periods of procrastination.

I took a whole day away from sport, friends, other "distractions", then I proceeded to write one side of A4 in 11 hours. I somehow managed to do absolutely nothing productive at all today

I might hang up my proverbial towel and accept the fact that I'm too lazy to start work more than a month before my exams -_-

Me and my mate decided today that we would be distracted by revising out of home...

Took some past papers and text books, and ended up wandering round Liverpool for most of the day...

Turns out even the museum I've been round many times before was more interesting than revision xD

Lol I've had this problem for the past ~3 years (I used to be a model student before ).

I don't need to start now, and if I do start now it will be the earliest I ever start for exams. But January was hell (8 days straight of literally nothing but revising + caffeine, starting from scratch) and I could make it so much easier for myself if I distribute my workload over an actual period of time.

Yes, strange how everything suddenly becomes much more interesting when revision is the alternative

EVERYTHING is more interesting than revision :P

Something I tend to do which is better than wasting time though is do things that I'm already comfortable with so that I feel like I'm studying. Unfortunately, this just means for example that I can get 90% on a maths paper instead of 80%, where 70% is the pass mark and we don't have A*!

We don't do the January exam thing, but we have mocks then and I managed to get on reasonably well on the revision that I did. I can only hope that the steady but minimal pace I've been keeping up since then and HOPEFULLY a lot more up 'till may pays off! Fingers crossed

I have one physics, one economics and four maths exams in May. And I've barely started revision

Tbh I'm not a revision person. For me revising is reading the textbook and or doing a few past papers.

    Well spotted, yeah they are!
I found out today that I got onto the two week course in Germany so hopefully my accent will improve :ahee:
Awesome! It's good to be a teenager sometimes, as my mum tells me
The Oxbridge teacher at my college wants me to do as much of my EPQ as possible during the summer holidays so that I can do A2 Italian as well apparently :lolwut:
Ah cool With science I suppose it must be difficult to get things outside of the curriculum. Do you not want any hobbies though?

The world would be a happier place if everyone was purple
but then I suppose people'll just argue which shade of purple is better
    I love this :daydreaming:

I feel you bro! I've done so little this holiday. I hate holidays..

Although, I say that, but I have finished the rest of my courses, written a set of notes for my final 3 sciences, and almost finished my college work due...

Maybe I've done a little, but it's pretty poor effort really.
