As a Liverpool fan, it's a really tricky one to answer. Still eight games left to see how we do. If we win the FA cup and finish 6th/7th then definitely give him another season - managers do tend to get sacked too quickly. But if we go out in the semi's and end up below the likes of sunderland or (god forbid) Everton, then it will be hard to defend him.

As to this, I think it was a combination of the worst league finish in eleven years and his poor relationship with the old owners.

He's an appalling manager.
I don't care what he done at Blackburn. I could have won the title with that squad at the time, spending what he done then.

Liverpool fans should have stuck with Roy Hodgson. Yes I know he did not have a great win record, but he's proven and I think he is a great manager; what he done for Fulham with getting them into the final of the UEFA Cup (beating teams such as Hamburg, Wolfsburg, Shatkar, Juve and so on) and what he is doing for West Brom (I know they lost today) and yet they say nothing about Kenny after spending ridiculous sums of money?

Roy inherited a squad which was indifferent. He was in charge of a team which was being taken over and where the fans were annoyed Kenny did not get the job. They thought him too 'low profile' when he has 20x the experience of Kenny.

If they can criticise Roy, Kenny should be out of a job already. His defeat to QP haha and Wigan are seriously low points. He is a woeful manager. Just look at his handling of Luis Suarez; his inability for tactically not knowing when to play Bellamy or Carroll.

Last time I checked the complaint of Kennys wasn't that he wasn't about to win the league title.. it's the fact he has misused funds and is at a point where he could quite easily come 7-9th which isn't respectable for a club like Liverpool.

If liverpool were to get relegated (which according to them, they were heading with Roy), they would still back Kenny and say he is improving?. if it was any other manager, they would be sacked, irrespective of Caring cup win and FA cup semi-final. I think their owner is underpressure by all these LFC fans commentating on Bill Shankly's comment (which they didn't even do under Roy, so why under kenny?).

I think the owners should just sack Kenny in the summer, say thanks for the Caring cup and FA cup run, and just sack him. Liverpool shouldn't be guided by a manager who wastes money on a **** players, they need someone new. Kenny is way past it on managerial terms. I think he should just retire from manager, and just do something else with his life instead of making liverpool worse. Might as well just get rid of him sooner rather than later because he isn't even improving liverpool. yes they won their first trophy in 6 years, but that shouldn't be enough, especially if its the carling cup. if it was Champions league, then yes, but its the carling cup - that's the kind of trophies the midtable/championship clubs should aim for.

I'm sorry Liverpool fans, but unless if you want to keep on winning the carling cup, midtable/relegated in the league, then kenny is NOT the man to bring you forward. I wouldn't trust him/comoli with another penny after how they spent a lot of it in the summer and it didn't work.

Same could be said for Steve McClaren. Some managers might be better suited to jobs with lower expectations than others. Some managers may find it difficult to manage large ego superstars. Roy may never have experienced player dissent at a modest mid-table club like Fulham. Whilst I think he was treated harshly I don't think he would have done much with them.

If it wasn't for the fact that cardiff city were slightly worse than liverpool at putting the ball at the back of the net from 12 yards, then I'm sure the answer will be a resounding NO.
