Re: Premier League TEAM OF THE SEASON?As usual, Vermaelen gets in because he's scored a few goals, and Cole gets in because he's Cole and people decide that he's the easy option. Same with Evra.(Original post by trrr)

Re: Premier League TEAM OF THE SEASON?You've got to admit they've all had quality seasons though. Colo has been a bit off the ball (excuse the pun) after his injury, and Ivanovic has been sound all season. Ben Arfa has won many games for us this season, and deserves to be there I'd say.(Original post by little_wizard123)

Re: Premier League TEAM OF THE SEASON?originally i was going to put koscielny instead of vermaelen but I just feel a vermaelen provides a bit more defensive solidity. I've also put cole in the list as I think he would be in the first team of every single team in the league especially ahead of the poor patrice evra. He is the daniel alves of the premier league, no defender supports the attacking play more than he does.(Original post by little_wizard123)

Close to getting in. De Gea, Vorm, Williams, Ferdinand, Hoilett, Cabaye, Sessengon, Mata, Modric, Ba
* - You may not like Carrick, but he has performed fantastically this season and anyone who watches United regularly will tell you that. If all your United knowledge comes from watching MOTD (which is true for most of those that dont rate him) you wont see this because he isnt such a flair kind of player.
This + my reasoning of wanting to create an actual team and thus needing a more defensive minded CM was my reason for putting him in.Last edited by Tommyjw; 14-05-2012 at 00:26. -

Re: YOUR Barclays PL Team Of The SeasonRamires has been Chelsea's best player this season.(Original post by Tommyjw)

Re: YOUR Barclays PL Team Of The SeasonCool, it is great that you have that view, and that means he should get into the first 11 why?(Original post by xxm)
Ramires has been Chelsea's best player this season. -
Re: Premier League TEAM OF THE SEASON?
Call me crazy, but ramires deserves it, been our best player of the season, him and mata has been doing the business all season, sturridge was doing it when AVB was managing, but ramires and mata have been consistently good all season.
Best LB would have been enrique until the last 2 months, but I have to hand it to clichy, as a clichy critic he has proved me wrong.
Anyway
Hart
Richards
Kompany
Koscielny
Clichy
Barry
Carrick
Ramires
Mata
Silva
Rooney
Aguero, vorm, Cisse, ben arfa, valencia, coloccini, skrtel missing out. -
Re: YOUR Barclays PL Team Of The SeasonDo I have to justify myself to you? No.(Original post by Tommyjw)
Cool, it is great that you have that view, and that means he should get into the first 11 why?
But I will. He's played consistently well all season, scored some vital goals i.e Barcelona. Improved hugely. Used pretty much across the midfield. I'd say he'd get into any midfield. Oh and yes that includes your beloved United. Only Midfield he'd probably struggle to get in is City's.
