Anyone else got flu atm? I've been ill since Monday I just want it to ****ing end

I came down with it last week, sort of around wednesday/thursday time, but it was at it's worst for the weekend - I'm still feeling a bit off at the moment and my sinuses are still bunged up and since about sunday I've had a chest infection, but my body seems to be winning on this front, albeit a bit slowly. Really hope you feel better soon, I know it's horrible getting it - especially when I normally get it several times a year.

I feel great today - dunno why I posted that thread when I did tbh, was just coming out of the end of it - tuesday through friday was the real hell. And if you're getting it "several times a year" as you say, its simply not flu - it's just a bad cold or respiratory tract infection. Real flu is something you only get once a decade.

My body is aching, my nose is running and my throat hurts like f***. i feel light-headed and just feel like dying. I really hate being sick, can't believe that i used to look forward to being sick when i was younger (to miss school :P) I had it since saturday.

I have just got over the most hurrendous cough/sore throat/blocked nose virus I have ever had.

All because I stupidly decided to go to the SU, what better place to catch a virus than a muggy room full of students and their diseases

Started with not being able to swallow, because my tonsils swelled up to the size of golf balls. Then went away a bit, then the cough started which shredded my throat. Then I couldn't eat cus It hurt so bad

Then my ribs and chest started to really hurt, because they were stressed from the coughing (pretty much choking).

So yea, really great week for me!

You should have had the stomach bug that was going round Uni here in January...there is nothing worse than running from a lab sweating about to poo yourself!
