I don't know about Co-Op but I worked at Sainsburys for a while and when I was interviewed there it was fairly relaxed. They took my CV, asked some questions about me, my work ethic, any experience (none at that point) then I had a pretty easy maths test to do and then I had more questions about my availability because I was at college at the same time. Then it was thank you very much, hand shake, all done.

Thanks alot, I dont have any previous experience either and i'm also still at 6th form. My friend had an interview and she said it was very informal and hardly any questions were asked - I hope mine is like that!

Hope it went well for you. Can I ask what position you were applying for? I have one next week and looking online for info! They told me that the assessment consists of a one to one interview, a group exercise and some online tests but other than that I'm clueless.

Hi, it was just a part time customer assistant role, I got the job, had my induction today and start tomorrow. My interview wasn't really an interview. I arrived and the manager just went through what hours i'd be working, all the terms of the contract etc. then asked me 6 really simple questions (e.g. An elderly customer is struggling with their shopping, what would you do?). The interviews are very informal. Hope this helps.
