You can get the basic loan of £3.5ish k but for any means tested loan and grant your parents need to submit their details online

Yes, you can change your loan amount choice on your student finance account online, its pretty simple.

Yeah I think without it being means tested you can apply for 65% of the maximum loan which differs depending on whether you want to study in or outside of London.

Not taking a loan is a stupid idea anyway because it usually means you lose out financially in the long run.

Without your parents knowing, you will only be able to apply for the minimum maintenance loan. If you want to apply for anything else you would have to be income assessed and your parents would have to send their financial information to SF.
