Re: SC Benfica v Chelsea Match Thread
Deserved win for Chelsea. Benfica were awful but credit to Chelsea, they seem to have gone back to more defensive tactics (defense has always been their strength), which weren't apparent during the AVB reign, which make them very difficult to break down. Luiz was excellent.

Re: SC Benfica v Chelsea Match ThreadMikel has been on a good run of form. Gives a good balance cos the rest of our midfield is pretty attack focused.(Original post by bluenose14)
Mikel instead of Essien? Can't really understand that. -
Re: SC Benfica v Chelsea Match ThreadMaybe but I just don't rate him. For a club with the money that Chelsea have I'm surprised that they can't get a better defensive midfielder. I suppose Romeu has the potential to be very good in that role in the future though.(Original post by Isometrix)

Re: SC Benfica v Chelsea Match Thread
Worst possible time for Benfica to have such a bad crisis at the back. Emerson was shocking in the last leg and the fact he is now in the CB position is even worse. Javi Garcia who has roughly only played 7/8 games in that position for Benfica before and Cap as LB who just rarely gets a game, although he was did a good job against Braga at the weekend.
