It's a shame Benfica are so poor defensively. That was shocking to let someone clean through from a goal kick.

Yeah the referee is poor. Although benfica weren't helping themselves, it was a clear penalty.

Aimar looks quite a lot like AVB, just with longer hair.

This referee is on par with Massimo Busacca. UEFA is an absolute joke...

Aimar is still pretty good as well. I like him. Too bad he's too old, could have had a great career.

Yeah, at least he isn't on the level of tom henning ovrebo...
We'll probably end up with him against barca.

Anyway, these counter attacking tactics won't work vs barca, messi will just cut through the defence, luckily they're not the best at set pieces. Dunno what we have to do to beat them. I think we'll probably put the same amount of fight milan did.

Agreed about the ref. He can't wait to get his cards out for the Benfica players compared to the Chelsea ones.

Barca vs. Chelsea makes more money perhaps?

chelsea are so lucky. the referee's are so inconsistent nowdays. just before the half time whistle went, mata's cross got deflected by emerson (i think it was) and chelsea got the free kick.

arghh i hope chelsea get humiliated by barca

    Witsel I think it was.

The worst one for me was when Ramires went in with his studs showing a little bit and he never produced a yellow.
Also, where Mata was complaining about a free kick on the near touch line. He was booking Benfica players for dissent but somehow Mata went unpunished.

Not a sending off, IMO. The Benfica player's leg was outstretched but he did try and pull it back in. Ref is trigger happy with his cards - moron.

I was looking forward to a competitive game and I get this, ffs.

Looked like it may have been the right decision to award a penalty, although it looked like Cole went to ground very easily.

Benfica really could be ahead and by a few goals, but have either been wasteful in very good positions or because of a goal-line clearance.

Chelsea are going to get murdered by Barca. It's going to be an embarrassing scoreline.

agreed. I think ITV should just cover up the score line for the barca match and just show the match.
