    Hi,

I have received all my offers for Electronic & Electrical Engineering and I am unsure which uni to choose as my firm.

My top two are Bath and Sheffield, both with the same offer. I have been to both and cannot decide between them. Bath was a really nice city and campus and I got a much more relaxed feel from there. Sheffield was also really nice and I like the fact it is in a bigger city with more students.

Any opinions and extra factors that people can tell me would be great. Thanks

Bath? sheffield? ANY! Those are EXTREMELY good universities, if they offer you EEE for any subject, i would take it!

Is the offer from the university of sheffield or sheffield hallam? If it is from the university of sheffield then it probably means that they really really want you, not that it's a bad course. It's am amazing university though i'm more than a little bias as i go there !

hahaha lol, my bad . To be fair, you didn't make it very clear that it was a course and not your required grades! I still think you should choose sheffield though

I would go with Bath, but both universities are excellent for this subject.

Really late post, but I'd just like to give you my opinion.

Sheffield for EEE comes in at #5 overall in the Guardian Rankings for 2012. However, if you look at how the scores are given, you would notice that the Student Satisfaction, Teaching, Feedback, etc. are higher than some of the Universities above it.

Excellence of EEE department also reflects in its collaboration and work with leading companies in the related industry. You can read about it at: http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/eee/industrial and http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/eee/research.
It reflects in the trust placed in EEE department by prestigious research funding bodies like EPSRC allocating over £16.5 million per year for research activities and making it one of the strongest department in the country. The Department is home to the National Centre for III-V Technologies (http://www.epsrciii-vcentre.com/home.aspx).

I've firmed Sheffield for my EEE course, which is why I hope you find my post useful. If there's anything else you might want to ask, I'd be glad to help.

    Cheers.
