It's hard to believe that nobody has applied to this particular firm!

Going to apply for their TC, can't do the open day as I'm not in Britain at the time, so going to wait until I can put VSes etc. on their come summer.

    Good luck!

    Re: Browne Jacobson
OK. I have applied to experience both. They have asked me to do an on-line psychometric test which I have now completed so I was wondering whether anyone else has had similar experience. I thought they would just invite me to their open day if they liked my application so this course of action surprised me. I have attended an open day with Shoosmiths before and there was no such thing as an on-line assessment prior to the open day invitation. Is it getting tougher or what? :-)

Not sure, Browne Jacobson seem to have a fair few Firsts on there trainee profile page so might have always been tougher than Shoosmiths.

I think like very law applicant I hate psycometric tests! If Slaughters do just CV, cover letter and an interview why isn't good enough for everywhere else??

It's an elimination exercise these firms like to do on us.

Tell me about it, but if what must be one of Britain's most over subscribed firms doesn't need it surely the rest could manage Sadly they hold our future in their hands so we will have to carry on playing by their convoluted rules!

    Hi all

I did the psychometric test after submitting my Tc application, and now have a telephone interview. Anyone have any experience of their telephone and the questions they ask?

    Thanks.

YES, I have done both earlier this year. Cocked up the easy telephone interview.

Sorry to hear that, did you not get an AC then?
Waiting to hear back after my telephone interview. Think it went okay- could have been better, could have been worse.

I had my interview back in Feb because I wanted to attend their open day too. Some of my answers were not good enough. Never mind. I will try again next year. Good luck if you get through.

Can I ask what type of questions they asked? I have a telephone interview next week!
