    Well. I was disappointed with BBCC at AS, because I was expecting AABB. I've now resat so I have B(very close to an A)BBC at AS and am hopefully on track for ABB. I'll be happy if I get that because it means I'm into the course I want but worse than that and I'll be disappointed.

    im on target to acheive A*AC so anything less it will be a disappoinment.
    (my grades are weird lol) but i can see where people are coming from if i was targeted CCC and i got BBB i would be well happy. if i was targeted AAA and got ABB i would be disappointed.

    A*A*A= estatic
    A*AA = happy
    AAB = content (insurance offer)
    ABB= dissapointing

    anything below abb = suicide
    exactly me! I was a little disappointed I did not score my second A*
    Any Bs for me.. awful!

    I managed to get all As in my modules for my lessons in AS so i'd be really happy if i did the same this year, over the moon if i got an A* or two, and tbh still pretty happy if i get AAB and into my firm uni!

    Personally if I achieve anything lower than AAAAA in my AS and A*A*A*A in my A2 I will be disappointed, mostly because it will make successful application to Oxford a pipe dream
    I'm not sure you'd get in even with those grades
    I hope i get in I'm going for 6 A*s at A level!!

    do you need to get 90%+ on your AS modules to get an A* for The whole A-level or just 90%+ in A2 modules and 80%+ in AS modules?

    Re: What would you consider disappointing A-level grades?
    Well in real terms I would have been dissapointed with grades that meant I didn't get into my first choice uni. I did get in and I was happy with them.

    The problem is instead of many people saying 'these grades aren't the ones I wanted for my aims' they say 'these grades are **** and worthless'.

    Obviously the latter puts everyone's grades down while the former is only mentioning ones own grades in relation to onself.

    Just 90%+ in all your A2 modules and an average of 80% over your whole alevel.

    Anything under a B would be disappointing for me. But if my friend got lower than me i wouldn't tell them that i was disappointed with mine, you would basically be telling them that their grades are terrible.

    When I did A levels, I would've been unhappy with anything less than AAA. I ended up getting A*A*A.

    AAA, because I won't get into uni this year. I'd like A*A*A* though, although the A* in Physics is looking less likely after the ISA paper I sat today :/

    Any A*s: over the moon, AAA: happy, AAB: content, ABB: initially disappointed, but I'd get over it pretty quickly. Anything lower I'd be miserable about.

    Re: What would you consider disappointing A-level grades?
    My tutor and parents have decided I am definately getting AAA. My grades last year were AAC. I would be honestly happy with AAB, overjoyed by A*AB. I would slightly disappointed with ABB but I can see that happening with the terrible teaching I had for coursework. I would be quite down if I got BBC even though that is all I need to get into my course.
