Thanks for the prayers - we definitely need them. Not quite sure what on earth is going on in my family these days. My younger sister flew out from Heathrow to Singapore yesterday night, so hopefully she'll have an amazing time and everything will blow over by itself.

Thing is, I'm kinda too short to be wearing maxi dresses. They tend to be longer than me. This one needs adjusting by only an inch or two though

Yeah, I feel for people who have to dress all prim and proper for work. I liked my internship with the London Symphony Orchestra last year: I could wear jeans and a hoodie as long as I wasn't on concert duty :awesome:
    :hugs:

Ooooh, Singapore. :teeth: Have you told her to get you some souvenirs?

My butt & thighs are too big for maxi dresses... They always pop out and ruin the view. :teehee: Most of the maxi dresses sold here are too boobalicious for me to wear as well so sigh... I am doomed to short dresses and leggings combinations.

I really want to make a change on how people think about the way primary teachers dress. I do understand if secondary teachers are expected to wear more professional type of clothes as the schooling in itself is getting more academic, but primary teachers who get themselves dirty with the students and need to move around a lot? Give me a break. :nothing: *rant rant rant I want to transform Scottish schools in to Finnish ones rant rant*

I'm not doing calorie counting or anything like that because I'm pretty sure I'd get unhealthily addicted. I'm just trying to exercise and eat less chocolate and pizza
That's good  I had a personal trainer at one point and he was the one that pretty much forced me to start counting calories etc. He turned out to be quite a prick but that's another story.

What I realised that I should not watch the calories I eat, but the quality of the products I'm consuming. I've dropped pretty much all the sweet things I used to eat and avoid processed food as much as possible. Currently I lose about a kilo per 2 or 3 months but that's enough for me, I have no need to rush. Especially because I'm going to buy new clothes and I don't want to find myself being too small for them all of a sudden.

I haven't told her to get souvenirs, since I'm going to Singapore myself at the end of August! :woo:

Oh I've got huge thighs but fortunately it didn't look too bad in this particular maxi dress I bought. Nothing wrong with short dresses and leggings. I love that combo. Though I always have to wear a cardigan to hide my arms and back (scarring, etc. Got skin problems and so my arms and back look funny  )

I'm all for revolutionising things. I still dream of doing a PhD, becoming a tutor at Oxford, ripping the whole Music Faculty to shreds and then rebuilding it, TLG-stylee :moon:

Oooooooooh! Well, that means you're bringing us all in X-Soc some souvenirs...

I saw a really nice maxi dress in one store earlier this week, but I feel like it's too much for a party or such. It's flowy and prettyyy... :coma: I cannot be without leggings or dark tights, my legs are very pale and I get burnt very easily. I would've preferred inheriting my mother's ginger hair than the ginger skin - I have to apply 50+ sun lotion every hour to avoid getting burnt. And there's skin cancer in the family, so sigh...

I really think that the Finnish system has a lot of positives that could be easily integrated to the Scottish system. I want to do a masters after I've worked for some years in schools, focusing on children with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. I really want to research what can be done to make them have the best learning experience as possible.

I just bought my last roundtrip to Scotland! Ten days after I come back home I'm going on a one way flight :woo: I can't believe it, I'm so blessed to get to university... I still sometimes wake up in the morning thinking "wait, was that offer real?" even though it's almost two months ago that I confirmed it and all.

    Of course :awesome:

:console: about burning easily. I like the summer coz I go brown and then I actually look Asian :bhangra: (I'm very fair, so get mistaken from anything from Brazilian to Saudi Arabian  )

That sounds like it would be a very interesting Masters. YAY for one-way flight :woo: I know what you mean. When Oxford let me in without the grades, I spent ages wondering if the phonecall that decided that had actually happened or not

Forced you? That sounds stressful :hugs:

A kilo every couple of months sounds like really good progress I don't really have any specific goals in terms of time or amount of weight to lose, although I definitely don't want to lose more than a stone.

I want to buy new clothes but I'm going to wait until I'm happy with my weight again. That said, it's pretty awkward at the moment because I've grown out of a lot of my old clothes

It isn't your bday soon, by any chance? I always use my birthday as an opportunity to ask for clothes vouchers :yep:

    Souveniiiirrrs.... My precious....

It's really odd though, I cannot imagine myself tanned. The only person in my family who gets a tan is my father, but all of us children got the skin from my mum so yeah. We've been calculating with my boyfriend and there's a high possibility for ginger kids if we ever get to that point.

There's a lot of Indians (meaning max 5 families... that's a lot here ) around where I live and it's odd to see them in the winter. You always see the pictures from the east and of course they look like they're always tanned because there's always the sun haha. So yeah, I mistook them for being Arabian or something like that before summer came.

Yeah, I know that personal trainer's are supposed to kind of push you, but he was really nasty if I didn't bring a chart with me of what I've eaten and such... Bah, I'm not gonna go too deep on that, it's not a pretty story that guy.

My plan is that if I lose half stone = yay! and a stone = super yay! I honestly cannot think myself losing any more weight, possibly 1,5 stone from where I am now, maximum. I've always been a bit chubby and have never seen myself skinny, I cannot even compare myself to my sister as our body types are different.

I know how you're feeling, it's awkward to realise you don't fit in your clothes anymore. It'll get better. :hugs:

    Ginger babies! :gah: :awesome:

My tutor's baby, Rose (who I have adopted as my little sister Kinda didn't consult her mum about it :ninja: Fortunately she doesn't seem to mind. She's used to my randomness  ) is ginger, with big blue eyes. SO adorabubble

Thing is, I'm so fair that in my old passport photo, I literally looked like a white person. Used to get SO many dodgy looks and second glances going through immigration at airports :sadnod:

Nah, we have planned to sacrifice the ginger babies we get to the sun god at his nearby standing stones!
    :mob:
    :ninja:

My grandpa looks really gorgeous, his blue eyes have turned into this icy blue colour and his graying hair is gorgeous. Too bad there's no coloured photos of him when he was young, I bet he looked very fine with his beautiful ginger hair. I'm kinda sad I'm not ginger by hair though, my grandpa's family line is known for being ginger and having massive noses. I didn't get the massive nose but the shape of it... :ninja:

I'm not sure who's nose I've got, tbh. I keep looking at the family photo that's my cover photo on Facebook at the moment and I still can't figure it out :nah:

I've decided it's too hot to study today :yep: :ninja: :yep:

Christian friends are the best! We've got a few training days for us new camp leaders and everyone who lives close by is putting up a large number of us for a few nights. Praise the Lord that He always provides what we need.
