    Travelling alone on gap year????
I was looking into travelling solo on the last leg of my gap year (from May till late July) maybe to Australia, or South America, but I don't really know what it's like :s I don't want to get lonely or anything, and I'd prefer to travel with someone else, but none of my friends are able to travel at the same time as me. Any ideas for what to do??
All help and suggestions greatly appreciated!

I travelled alone for 6 months - but you're never really alone - you meet SO many people in hostels, most of whom are in the same situation, so you never actually get lonely. Some of them you'll just have a drink and a chat with, some of them you'll travel on with, and some of them you'll meet up with again along the way. I'd actually go so far as to say that I prefer travelling alone
